05 / Take the Throne

TAKE THE THRONE

Every campaign points toward one impossible threshold and the ruler built from the last age's victory.

The Empire organizes power as ritual. Fleets answer crowned command ships. Sector rulers guard ceremonial routes. Beyond them, the Coronation Gate opens onto a Sovereign: a colossal autonomous war machine carrying the weapons and habits of a champion from a previous age.

Resistance history says those champions took the Throne and were corrupted by the Throne. Their reigns ended. Their war machines did not. To begin a new age, the returning pilot must defeat the inheritance of the last one.

The blonde pilot stands before the Sovereign and its crimson-black court beneath a false red halo.
The last ruler is waiting behind the weapon their age became.

Sovereigns Remember How Champions Fight

A Sovereign is not merely large. It is a campaign's accumulated combat grammar made Imperial: recognizable weapons, transformed synergies, familiar timings, and a scale that turns a successful build into a final exam.

Each confrontation should feel personal without explaining more than battlefield inheritance allows. The pilot recognizes the technique. Command recognizes a threat. Both agree it must be destroyed.

She Believes She Can Remain Herself

Every warning says power changes the person who claims it. Every ruined age says the warning was correct. The pilot has returned often enough to believe identity can survive catastrophe.

Her final conviction is therefore simple and dangerous: take the Throne, refuse its corruption, and become the first victory that does not need another rebellion.

The Gate opens for a conqueror, a liberator, or the next name the galaxy learns to fear. She intends to choose before it does.
